On February 7th, however, XRoad released a 1.2 version update for the app which seemed to correct the major errors and added real-time turn tracking. The most recent reviews have ranged from 3-5 stars.

Unfortunately, this doesn't necessarily mean that Apple has loosened the restrictions in the App Store. The notable absence of voice prompts is attributed (in XRoad's FAQ) to Apple's "strict strategy which prohibits any real time guidance". In fact, the App even warns you on launch to "not operate this device while driving". We wonder if this FAQ entry may have pre-dated the release of the 1.2 update, however, as the company seems to lump both turn-by-turn navigation and voice-prompts in the prohibition.
If you want to find out what savings are possible by using your eBike instead of your car, for example CO2, check out the information on the updated savings screen. This is enabled in the screen management settings. You can also compare the current and previous week, as well as select a different currency or consumption value in the settings.
The customization of sports covers everything from the exact data fields and pages you want shown, or the frequency of update rates. You can also change zone limits for pace, power, and heart rate. As well as automatic laps and more.

For the reduced GPS update rate at every 2 minutes, it works by turning on the GPS for 15 seconds, then turning it off for 105 seconds. As such if you use any reduced GPS update rates, keep in mind that the GPS track will cut corners. To demonstrate this, I did a simple route around my hood with a number of turns on a bike. In this case you can see how it cuts the corners. This is similar to how it works on Garmin, though, on Suunto while running/hiking they do some GPS route awesomeness with their FusedTrack that does actually plot a route (more on that here).
Ray, I think you can expect another 1,000 questions regarding any info about which features will come to Vantage, so I hope you have some intel from Polar to share ;-). On the flip side, Komoot integration already works with Vantage (no firmware update required). 2ff7e9595c
